Design
Our designs are the result of a collaborative process of information gathering, goal setting, and site analysis. This informed approach results in proposals that are specific to place and individual client’s own needs and interests.
Designs consist of a scaled plan that graphically displays various elements and interventions that are being proposed to the landscape. Designs may also include planting plans, stormwater plans, material descriptions, construction details, and a cost estimate for installation service.
Installation
We offer full installation services for our designs. We typically employ a light-handed approach to installation, preferring to do most work by hand rather than with machines and excavators. Beyond the benefit of a lower carbon footprint, we believe working in this way gives us greater control of the artistic impression and integrity of the end product.
Costs for installation vary by project. At the start of the design process we will work to hone in a budget that helps to inform the project scope. The estimate for installation service is thorough and transparent, showing itemized expenses. Typically a percentage of the total installation fee is due prior to the beginning of construction, and the rest is due upon its completion.
